Welcome to 3rd CBA Workshop

The 3rd International Conference on Community Based Adaptation (CBA) to Climate Change was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 18th to 24th February 2009. The earlier two conferences have been organized in Dhaka on every two consecutive years. The conference consisted of three day field visit to community based adaptation projects in different ecosystems spread in 6 sites across Bangladesh, and three days of interactive discussions on various thematic areas.
The International Conference on Community Based Adaptation is considered to be a timely opportunity for practitioners, researchers, policy makers, donors and community representatives to review the latest state of knowledge, discuss how climate change links to sustainable development and exchange experiences of community-level adaptation practices. The primary aim of the conference was to: Share the latest developments in adaptation planning and practices, priority sectors and measures at different levels and disseminate knowledge among stakeholders and actors.
