BCAS has a strong Publication and Documentation division which has been working for more than one decade with a board of experts having expertise in the field of quality documentation and dissemination. This division consists of editorial members led by a Chief Editor. During documentation and publication of any report, book, newsletters and Journal, the total responsibility is on the editorial board. The members of the editorial board are designated as editors. The editors contribute in this division by carrying out the assignments given upto them. Sometimes, the editorial board members also can contribute in any publication by providing articles, news, chapter etc. All the materials are thoroughly edited and finalized the chief editor. 

In this purpose, this Division has a Desk Top Publication where all materials are composed and layout-designed is done by a skilled computer operator. For divisional development there is a Publication, Committee (PDLC) of 4 members headed by a Committee Chairperson who work to ensure the timely and quality output of the Division.


 Key Activities :

 The publication and Documentation Division performs the following activities:

  • This division takes all necessary steps to ensure the quality publication of all reports, books journals and newsletters.

  • The members of the Editorial Board of this division contribute news item, article and chapters on different is issues in any publication.

  • The Editorial Board also maintain liaison and coordinate with all divisional heads and project in-charge to know about the project outputs for final publication as well as to provide necessary assistance in this regard.

  • This division ensures the quality and maintain schedule of publication.

  • It also collect quotations from different parties for cost effective and quality production.

  • This division has been publishing Bangladesh Environmental Newsletters and Clime Asia Newsletter regularly.

In-charge of the Division: This division team is led by Mr. D. L. Mallick, Research Fellow.

Project / Programme :

 This division has no any particular project, but publication is a self funded BCAS programme. This programme publishes book and three newsletters for more than fifteen years.

Publication: 

Large number of project reports, books and international journal articles were published or produced by this division. All edited books of  this division are recognizing as high quality publication. [ List of Publications]
