Mr. Khandaker Mainuddin

Mr. Khandaker Mainuddin has experience as researcher/consultant in sectoral planning, macro economic review and analysis feasibility studies, evaluation studies, impact assessment, social assessment, business and economic forecasts, macroeconomic analysis, financial analysis, appraisal and planning of different sectoral projects and programmes including those of health, environment, education, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, micro-enterprise, industries for 20 years. He has executed several large scale sample surveys and monitoring including data analysis and preparation of the reports. He has also been coordinator of study teams representing multi-disciplinary fields.

A case study on "Rural Electrification in Bangladesh" published in the Rural Electrification Guide Book for Asia and the Pacific, sponsored by ESCAP & AIT, Bangkok, 1992.
An article entitled "Operational Inefficiency and System Loss Overshadow the Performance of Power Sector" published in the Commerce and Industry.
Several other articles on Socio-economic issues have been published in different Dailies and Weeklies.
Editor of REB Newsletter, a quarterly publication of Rural Electrification Board during 1984/85.
A paper entitled "Preliminary Findings on Wind Energy Study in Bangladesh" was presented at a seminar at Dhaka in October 1996.
Paper on “Environmental Governance in Bangladesh” was presented at a International Symposium on Environmental Governance in Asia held at Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan on March 9-10, 2000.
