Research Fellow, BCAS
Have
working experiences with multidisciplinary team of expert in the field of
climate change, environment, natural resource management and GIS. Have working
experiences of use of General Circulation Model (GCM) and MIKE11 (hydrodynamics
model) outputs of which have been used for GIS modelling to predict present and
future level of inundation due to climate change and sea level rise. Have
working experience of use of COMAP and IPCC methodology for assessing greenhouse
gas emission from energy, agriculture and forestry sectors with their potential
mitigation options.
Involved in a number of studies where different models were used for vulnerability assessment, assessment of greenhouse gas emission and mitigating GHG from agriculture and forestry sector. Noteworthy studies were “Bangladesh Climate Change Country Study under the US Climate Change Studies Programme”, “Assessment of Vulnerability of Coastal Areas to Climate Change and Sea Level Rise; A Pilot Study in Bangladesh” and “Asia Least-Cost Greenhouse Gas Abatement Strategy (ALGAS) study, Bangladesh”.
