Sarder
Shafiqul Alam is a Research Fellow of Bangladesh Centre for
Advanced Studies
(BCAS) and has over 18 years experience of research and monitoring. He has
coordinated and supervised more than 15 field base research and monitoring
projects in various aspects including water resources, fisheries, forestry,
socio-economic, rural and urban environment, and development works in
Bangladesh. His particular experiences are in developing project proposal &
research methodologies, preparation and implementing work plan, natural
resources mapping, programme for entering data, analysis of data and preparing
reports. He established a number field research stations in different
environmental zones for conducting different project activities. He is founder
and head of the Wetland Research and Training Centre (WRTC) of BCAS, located in
Gopalganj district since 1995.
