Project Description: Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) is implementing Floodplain Resource Management in Madhomoti Floodplain (Chanda Beel) under the umbrella of sub-implementing agencies IUCN-Bangladesh. Madhomoti floodplain is vast in areas covered about 50,000 hectares of lands started from the upper Ganges Floodplain-Kumar Floodplain-Madhomoti river floodplain and Gopalganj-Khulna peat basin. From this vast floodplain, project area is selected in Chanda beel and kadambar beel areas which is covered the central part of Madhomoti floodplain.
