Description:
The aim of this project is to provide capacity
building on integrated environmental assessment using specially developed
training tools for preparation of the
Dhaka
City
State
of the Environment (SoE) Report - 2003. The project will strengthen the
capacity of and assist government in establishing strong information base
for data processing, modeling and analysis requirements that supports
State of the Environment (SoE) assessments and reporting, and improves the
basis for decision making in the handling of important and emerging
environment problems. The project thus aims to enhance the capacity of
government in
Bangladesh
to make accurate environmental decision making towards sustainable
development; enhance the availability of information on all aspects of
environment and socio-economic development; and establish a strong
information network with a uniform format of data. The project would
concentrate on analysing existing data and information, and will prepare
Dhaka City State of Environment Report – 2003.
