Project
Description:
The
Government of the People’s Republic of
Bangladesh
is implementing the project “Formulation of the Bangladesh Programme of
Action for Adaptation to Climate Change (NAPA) with financial support from
Global Environment Facility (GEF) through United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP). It will cover six thematic area/sectors i.e. a)
agriculture, fisheries and livestock, b) forestry, biodiversity and
land-use, c) water, coastal area, natural disasters and health, d)
livelihood, gender, local governance and food security, e) industry and
infrastructure, and f) institutional and policy issues. BCAS will
coordinate institutional and policy issues, and will provide inputs to
water, coastal area, natural disasters and health, and industry and
infrastructure. Apart from technical inputs, BCAS will also provide inputs
as a member of the steering committee.
