Project Description : To carry out a nation-wide consultative planning exercise involving twenty-three grass-root workshops in different agro-ecological zones, six divisional workshops, five professional workshops and one national workshop with the Prime Minister. Also plan and conduct a major national media campaign on environment and solicit opinions from people of all walks of life, synthesise all the inputs into a draft planning document and hold another six regional workshops to get feedback on the draft document before finalizing it.

Time Period : October 1994 - September 1995 (Twelve months).

Outputs : National Environment Management Action Plan (NEMAP in 5 volumes.
