About the Book

This is a summary of an International workshop on Climate Change. A consortium of major international non-governmental organizations including BCAS, COPPE/UFRJ-Rio-de-Janeiro, Brazil, ENDA-Senegal, Pacific Institute-USA and WHRC-USA organized the new initiative to promote North South dialogue on climate change. The aim of this initiative is to promote technology cooperation and stimulate new partnerships. BCAS hosted the Asia workshop in Dhaka Bangladesh on 8 to 10 November 1997. Participants at each regional workshop included a diverse group of business executives, government officials and representations of academic and non-governmental organizations and discussed the issues that are relevant to the on going negotiations on implementation of climate convention.
