The booklet has been written by a team researchers from the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) and the University of Leeds, UK for the “Managing Pollution from Small and Medium-Scale Industries in Bangladesh” project. The work was funded by the UK Development for International Development under its Knowledge and Research Programme.   

This booklet gives a brief and straightforward introduction to effluent treatment plants (ETPs) for the textile industry. It provides valuable information on the effluent quality standards set by the Government of Bangladesh. It also outlines the basic components of ETPs.
