About the Book

The book has four chapters with a summary, fact sheets and annexes. The book describes the main sectoral issues relating to environment and development in Bangladesh. It also focuses on cross-sectoral issues including population, land use and natural hazards. The final chapter of the book suggested an operational guidelines for Danish development assistance to Bangladesh, which emphasized for paying more attention to environmental issues in planning and implementation of development programme.
