About the Book

This manual was produced to take the FAO-Code of conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) to the Primary Producers of Fisheries Sector – the coastal fishing communities and encourage their participation in adoption and implementation of the code at their level. This training manual is a conceptual version of the original FAO-CCRF. With the participation of different stakeholders, some most related issues of the original CCRF have been elaborated and explained as per local context using simple language and appropriate illustrations.
