This booklet is one of the out comes of the Empowerment of Coastal Fishing
Communities for Livelihood Security (ECFF) project which was conducted and
implemented by three NGOs including Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies
(BCAS) Bangladesh Environmental Lowers Association (BELA) and Poush with
Technical and Financial Support of FAO/UNDP aiming at empowering targeted
fisherfolk communities through a multi-dimensional approach facilitated
with multi sectoral support to the project.
This
book illustrates all details of fish drying process including; species
used in traditional sum drying and importance of sum drying, physical
condition, drying method, insect, infestation, application of insecticide
duration of drying, drying fish in rainy season and use of salted dried
fish.
