About the Book

The book aims at providing information on how the environment fund proved to be helpful for the male and female members of the groups to achieve social, environmental empowerment and strengthen their asset base. Moreover, various options for successful redering of the environmental fund have also been recommended in this report through which the community can derive financial benefit. This report also imparts few success stories of the local communities who achieved self-reliance through sustainable livelihood. This document can be used as a guideline for the project designers to incorporate such activity in other national or international development schemes to enhance the livelihoods of the target communities.
