Main Objective:   The objective of this project was to assess housing tax, and present concern of low-level revenue collection by the corporation.
Brief Description: This was a collaborative project with Dhaka City Corporation where GIS database on five wards of Dhaka City was prepared using DGPS, GIS and field survey. The project had two phases. Data were collected from two and five wards of the DCC during the first and second phases respectively.
Output BCAS played the lead role in providing GIS support for the project. The activities related to preparing the GIS database on five wards of Dhaka city was done using DGPS, GIS and field survey. Dhaka City Corporation considered the GIS database useful and expressed willingness to conduct more surveys of its kind to prepare databases for remaining wards of the city.
