Main Objective:   To conduct research and training on wide ranging issues of the natural resources management.
Brief Description: Founded in 1995, the Wetland Research and Training Centre (WRTC) has been undertaking various research and training activities concerning natural resource management. The centre provides research facilities for its own staff members and for visiting researchers. The specific areas of research are primarily wetland resources, livelihoods, environment and development. It also provides facilities for training and workshop to other NGOs. It publishes research document for disseminating research findings to the policy makers, scholars and general readers.
Output Annual Reports of WRTC activities are being prepared regularly since 1996. It has developed low cost fish fingerlings production and table fish production techniques in its own ponds. Further, it has developed different techniques for conservation of plants and animal bio-diversity in the Chanda Beel area over six years. The WRTC has been attracting visitors from within and outside of Bangladesh. It can be a model institution for further research on nature and environment.
